The role of the judges

We make efforts to offer a new exciting and satisfactory experience to every participant in the EMILY Annual Awards competition.

Even in 2019 during the first issue of the competition many of the participants shared with us that they would like to be evaluated not only by the public’s vote, but by a professional jury of experts in the manicure and pedicure field. So we chose to gather two special groups of professionals for EMILY Annual Awards 2021 to evaluate every single participant.

In categories Manicure, Pedicure and Design Manicure our judges are Lina Valerieva and Daniela Koleva. They will evaluate the overall participation of a single competitor in every category and their assessment will create 80% of the whole result. The rest 20% are formed by the public’s vote. Our judges will look for a good skin condition, the symmetry in the shape of the nails, a smooth nail fold and overall look of the hands or the feet when shooting the image.

In category Therapeutic Pedicure the results are based strictly on the jury’s opinion. Our judges are Rumyana Rabotova, Albena Tyutyuncheva, Maria Koleva and Desislava Ivanova. They assess every single treatment, considering the type of the case and what is done for recovery.

Category Art Poster is left without jury’s assessment where we give freedom to the imagination and all types of ideas. Category Salon of the year is left without judges too, but there the final ranking is based on wide research of the place and the team.
